How can we enjoy life when we feel so sad, lonely and in conflict? Reaching for help can feel overwhelming. Many things can stimulate a search for a therapist: feelings of depression, anxiety, difficult relationships, or dissatisfaction with life. Having a supportive therapist to talk with can be helpful. In therapy, you can learn to identify thoughts, beliefs, and behavior patterns that hold you back from achieving your goals. You will also learn to recognize and build on the strengths you already possess to identify practical solutions to the problems you face as we dive into deeper exploration of the “whys” for long term healing.
Most of us can benefit from feeling heard, validated, and encouraged in a compassionate and nonjudgmental space. I enjoy walking with people on the journey to emotional, spiritual and interpersonal well-being and fulfillment. My approach is client centered; together we will determine the best counseling path to assist you through troubling life issues.
I journey regularly with clients facing anxiety, depression, addiction, loved ones struggling with addiction, co-dependency, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD), relational distress, emotional distress, spiritual distress, self-esteem, self-injury, trauma and grief & loss. Additionally, I am an EMDR (eye movement desensitization and reprocessing) practitioner. EMDR is a proven treatment for PTSD, anxiety and trauma.
